"the lion sleeps tonite" was a theme song from what tv series?

the tv show was about a family who live in a home near the zoo they run, or something like that. there was an orang utan who dropped by the kitchen regularly and even a llama (or was it a zebra?) and all the animals could talk. the only other clue i have is that the theme song is "the lion sleeps tonite". help please! it's killing me!

"the lion sleeps tonite" was a theme song from what tv series?
If memory serves me correctly, it was a situation comedy titled "The Mighty Jungle." The actual version of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" used was a remix from, I estimate, the Nylons cover version of 1982 (the Solomon Linda's Original Evening Birds original, of 1939 vintage, was recorded in South Africa). Wikipedia has a comprehensive list of cover versions in the page listed below.
Reply:areyou sure it was a tv series? i remember it was from The Lion King. you could try googling or seaching on youtube to find out more info or to hear it.
Reply:It wasn't from a TV series, it's from the Disney Channel movie "The Lion King"
